We do NOT recommend shipping our best selling, skin loving, ultra moisturizing fat marshmallow whipped tallow skin fluff in the summertime (that bad boy needs to stay cool, and shipping when its over 70 degrees is the opposite of staying cool).

But as the man says, it IS our duty to please that booty, so we came up with a formulation we CAN ship successfully when the asphalt is steaming, now in two sizes! Our OG 4 oz in an upcycled Oui jar (which we have a hard time keeping in stock) and our new 3 oz jar to bridge the gap when we do run out!

Our fat marshmallow solid lotion has the same simple yet effective ingredients as our fluff, but we skip the whip and bump up beeswax for a smooth and solid option you can slather onto each and every square inch of that sweaty hot summer bod- booty and all.

If you've been with us long, you already know the incredible benefits of using the right kind of fat for your skin i.e.tallow (if you're new here, welcome! Go check out the "WHY TALLOW" tab!), so now lets talk about marshmallow root! The marshmallow plant has been used in herbal medicine for centuries, and is native to Northern Africa and Eastern Europe, and grows throughout North America, Marshmallow root has been cherished in skincare for just as long, providing instant hydration, while it continuously works to improve the skin's ability to retain moisture, and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory benefits. It also contains a naturally occurring botanical form of hyaluronic acid that can firm the skin and increase moisture levels. This comes from a thick, gum-like substance called mucilage within the root.

Just as much thought went into the look of fat marshmallow as it did into the ingredients and formulation. Retro food packaging is a design DREAM & the marshmallow fluff jars are iconic AF. If you knew Vellum Street founder and former chef Melissa Torre in the Cookie Confidential days, you know her cupcake line, Undercover Cupcake, came exclusively in jelly jars with red lids, with a fluffy cream cheese frosting piped in thick layers above, below & in between the cakes. fat marshmallow is a nod in part to those two tasty treats, but done Vellum style, for your skin!

Perfect Tallow Balm

I’ve known the owner, Melissa, for years, going back to the earliest days of Vellum St. She’s always been driven by a passion for reducing waste by strengthening local ecosystems and supply chains, and this product is emblematic of her ethos. Just four simple ingredients shine in this incredibly-hydrating balm, including locally-sourced beef tallow. I use it almost daily on my hands, and sometimes on my face. It smells incredible—like vanilla ice cream—and really locks in moisture. Can’t recommend this Tallow & Beeswax Balm, and Vellum’s products in general, highly enough.

Since I found Fat Tallow 3 years ago, I'm hooked. Makes my skin feel amazing and the smell is divine.

Luv the recycled jar&lid. Luv the all natural ingredients and lack of chemical preservatives. Prefer the marshmallow fluff, hence the 4+. Understand that it’s difficult to ship during hot summer. BHL

Works great as a Beard Balm!

I've been trying to find a adequate replacement for Scotch Porter's old marshmallow (*2018 and before) formula, before the company, IMO, seemed to have "sold out" to Target...anyway, I'm definitely impressed by this Fat Marshmallow Tallow Balm; the only thing, I'd ever so slightly adjust, if possible, is to reduce the Tallow smell (*the fat smell, if possible?), as it seems the Marshmallow and Vanilla smell are already in the perfect ratio (*since my using it on my beard and mustache makes the balm smell very noticeable, being in close proximity to my nose). Either way, it's still a great product and I'd definitely purchase it again.
